Chess has always been a part of popular culture - the game appears in movies, songs, and cartoons. This picture is from Season 3, Episode 62 of "The Flintstones" that was aired in 1962.

Barney Rubble is the neighbor of the Flinstones, the modern Stone Age family. He's one of the main characters of the show and in this episode, he's been introduced to an "executive club" where "chess is the big game"! It sounds like "fun, fun, fun" to him, but once he's found himself in the silence of the tournament, he realizes he'd rather settle for bowling. ????♂️
