Did you know that the second book in history printed in English was about chess?
The first English publisher William Caxton set up a press in Brugge (later he'd move to Westminster). His translation from the French of ???????????? ???????????????? ???????????? ???????????????????? ???????? ???????????? ???????????????????????? by Jacobus de Cessolis (in which chess is treated as an allegory of life) was published in 1476. ???????????? ???????????????????????????????? ???????? ???????????? ???????????????????????????????????? ???????? ????????????????????, the first book ever printed in English, came out of his press a year earlier.
